The PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues are the highest level development competition for young footballers in Australia between the age of 12 and 16.

Western Pride FC is the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues representative club of Football Ipswich and Brisbane’s Western Corridor and provides a pathway toward state and national representation for country’s biggest participation sport governed by Football Federation Australia.

Players trial in October / November and register with Western Pride FC for a 40 weeks program each year. Each PlayStation 4 NPL team has 16 regular players and a maximum of 7 shadow players. Shadow players remain registered with their community clubs. Teams play against other representative sides in South East Queensland on a weekly basis between January and September.

The focus is to build on players’ existing functional game skills and reach their potential best by increasing their game knowledge and decision making. Our footballers development is supported by three training sessions per week and a competitive match at the weekend. All coaches hold an advanced AFC licence and supported by a full time Technical Director and other staff members (assistant coach, goalkeeper coach, conditioning coach, team manager, physio). The program is complimented with theory classes on injury prevention, nutrition, sport psychology and international guest coaches presentation.

Please consider the following statements when you make a decision about your child’s footballing future and trials.

+ Western Pride Football Club is a representative club only dedicated to providing elite player development with an individual focus.

+ Western Pride FC remains true to its original mission to provide a pathway for young players to state and national representative teams and A-League Youth squads.

+ Western Pride is the only PlayStation 4 NPL club which puts youth player development ahead of the first team’s trophy cabinet – we believe any future first team success should be predominantly based on players developed by our youth system.

+ Our mid-term vision is to earn a position in the highest professional league in Australia with sport and political decision makers having already identifying Ipswich and Brisbane’s Western Corridor as a genuine football hub and expansion area.

+ We enjoy great support of the Ipswich City Council along with local businesses to enable us to keep our fees reasonable while providing four contacts per week to our athletes over 40 weeks.

+ We are very keen to work with our community clubs and let them host their own SYL or divisional level teams. Our elite PlayStation 4 NPL players enjoy plenty of field space and a quality training and playing surface due to the limited number of teams using our excellent facilities at Briggs Road, Flinders View throughout the year.

+ Western Pride FC Technical Director Gabor Ganczer has recently who completed the course for the AFC Pro Diploma, the highest coaching qualification available, with the final assessment to be scheduled soon. He currently holds a UEFA A Licence and has working experience at an international level. Please don’t hesitate to contact him if you need further info on our programs via email:
