Dixon appointed Pride’s Technical Skill Coach
Western Pride FC welcomes Jamie Dixon on board as the club’s new Technical Skill Coach and National Premier Leagues U16 Boys Coach.
Jamie holds an AFC B Licence and he will be responsible for the skills development of young football players in Ipswich and Brisbane’s Western Corridor.
“My main focus will be to work with our Ipswich based foundation clubs and catchment clubs to establish a pre-NPL skill acquisition academy and local development centres to help players to reach their full potential on the elite or community player pathway. I was impressed when I learned Western Pride’s long term goals, facility development strategy and the huge potential this region can offer to produce the next generation of Matildas and Socceroos” says Jamie.
Western Prides GM Pat Boyle says, “Western Pride is well known for giving chances to young players on first team level. Now we will be able to provide the road map to our juniors on how to get there within the same environment. I am delighted with Jamie’s appointment as it is the next logical step to achieve our goals. All we want is to give the best chance to the local kids to play at the highest level they can”
“Jamie’s proven skills and track record of producing players capable to play on state level is the right fit for us. His appointment was a strategic decision for the club to enhance our development performance in the younger girls and boys age groups” said Gabor Ganczer Western Pride FC’s Technical Director.
Jamie Dixon has seven years experience working with elite players in the skill acquisition phase in England and Australia and he continues his tenure as Football Queensland Regional SAP Trainer and will provide a direct pathway into the Playstation4 National Premier Leagues arena.
Western Pride NPL boys’ trials continue this week at the Tivoli Sports Complex on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Check facebook and the website for more details.
