Western Pride FC are delighted to announce The Coffee Club has joined our growing community of sponsors.
The partnership sees The Coffee Club become the official shirt sponsors for Pride’s Youth Men and Boys teams.
Local Coffee Club owner Boubacar Barry said his love of football was one of the main motivations for sponsoring Pride.
“This gives us an opportunity to link our business which is The Coffee Club in the Ipswich region to Western Pride,” Barry said.
Barry and co-owner and wife Angela Holmes-Barry own seven Coffee Club franchises around Ipswich, and bring to Pride a history of sponsoring sport and community projects in the region.
Barry said the sponsorship agreement with Pride is the latest example of The Coffee Club brand being involved with football.
“Our Support Office sponsored Brisbane Roar for many years, while we are very proud to sponsor our local sports,” Barry said.
“It’s about a love of the game and a long-term relationship with Pride”
The Coffee Club were an inaugural sponsor for Pride in 2013, while Barry has maintained a close interest in the club in intervening years.
Pride General Manager Pat Boyle said he was delighted The Coffee Club elected to return to Ipswich football.
“Having known Barry and Angela for ten years, there’s a mutual respect outside of football which has now moved back onto the field.”
Boyle added attracting such a recognisable brand was the latest sign of Western Pride’s growth.
“For us it’s fantastic to have a nationally recognised company like The Coffee Club involved with Pride,” Boyle said.
“This just goes to show where football in this region is heading”
The Coffee Club join Heritage Health (Senior Men) and Building Services Consulting Australia (Senior Women and Girls) and kit supplier uhlsport to complete Pride’s group of shirt sponsors for the 2017 season.
